Philips Park, one of Manchester's finest green spaces is pleased to announce its new and exiting web site.
As the world’s first municipal park, it only fitting that it also becomes one of the first parks in Manchester to have its own dedicated web site.
Located near the City Of Manchester stadium, the park covers over 31 acres and offers a wide range of leisure activities and sports as well as being a focal point for a variety of public events of all sizes.
The new web site ideally compliments the park, offering a wealth of information including its history and interactive maps dating back to 1880.
You can also find information on the people and the park’s day to day management as well as community aspects such as discussion forums, volunteering and competitions.
Particular attention is paid to environmental factors including the Medlock Valley Park Project and the Park’s wildlife, with several pages dedicated solely to the identification of the variety of plants and animals.
The Philips Park web site is a collaboration of several key best of breed partners each contributing significantly to its successful delivery.
TT360, contracted as the technology provider, developed the content management system (WebKinetic) that drives the web site and allows complete content freedom across the whole site.
